Universal Installer Error: File is not as expected

Description

In rare instances, installation files may become corrupted. To resolve this, the installer package cache needs to be cleared.

Discussion

The message "The file is not as expected. It is either corrupt or has been modified." occurs when digest validation fails during installation. This can happen if a file is corrupted during download or was modified.

To remedy this error, clear the Universal Installer package cache. Click the Version number located in the bottom right-hand corner of the Universal Installer. Then select Clear installer package cache....

After the package cache has been cleared, retry the update or install.

Clearing the package cache does not affect existing installations. It simply deletes cached installer files. These files will be automatically downloaded the next time you install or update a product.
